It is our distinct pleasure to announce that on the 9th of June 2016, Mr. Kostas Dervenis, the Headmaster of Pammachon, presented a lecture on “Modular Close Combat” to the 7th NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Center Annual Conference; this convention’s central theme was “Challenges to Maritime Security Derived from Transnational Organized Crime at Sea.” The conference was attended by one hundred fifty five (155) delegates from twenty five (25) member states, partner countries and NATO organizations, countries outside the NATO structure, and professors from the international academic community, as well as representatives from the shipping industry and government think tanks.
Mr. Dervenis’ lecture centered on the neurophysiological and tactical factors inherent to the changing environment during close combat engagements, with particular emphasis on the mission of boarding teams.
